MAN WITH A MISSION North America 2024 Tour Tickets Go On Sale April 30
Anime fans know MAN WITH A MISSION best for their work on anime opening and ending themes. And now, North American fans will get a chance to see the wolf pack in action this year. They’ve announced a concert tour that’ll cover New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Mexico City. Furthermore, the band will join 311 at shows at the Red Rocks Amphitheater on June 29 and the Denver Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on June 30.
Many of their songs have been used for anime. They’ve done work for shows including hits like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc‘s opening and ending themes “Kizuna no Kiseki” and “Koi Kogare” respectively. Other notable works include My Hero Academia Season 5‘s 2nd opening theme “Merry-Go-Round” and Vinland Saga‘s “Dark Crow”. They first drew my attention with their catchy song “Database” for Log Horizon.
MAN WITH A MISSION is a rock band made up of 5 performers who go by the stage names Tokyo Tanaka (vocals), Jean-Ken Johnny (guitar, vocals, rapping), Kamikaze Boy (bass guitar, backing vocals), DJ Santa Monica (DJ, sampling) and Spear Rib (drums). The band has a unique aesthetic to say the least. They’ll typically wear wolf masks in their live performances, for panels, and in music videos. The reason for that is because they were created as the “Ultimate Life Form” by Jimi Hendrix, the doctor of the guitar and master wolf biologist.
