Nisemonogatari’s Platinum Disco and Soundtrack Gets Released July 25

One of the more memorable moments about watching Nisemonogatari was seeing Yuka Iguchi, who plays the role of Tsukihi Araragi sing the insanely catchy “Platinum Disco.”  The song accompanied a very enthralling dance sequence that definitely made “Platinum Disco” all the more enjoyable.

Like most of the other Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari themes like “Staple Stable” and “Renai Circulation,” the music was composed by Satoru Kousaki (who also composed the Bakemonogatari soundtrack) and the lyrics were written by meg rock.

This disc also contains more of Nisemonogatari’s soundtrack (also composed by Satoru Kousaki).  Unfortunately, the entire package is such that the you have to purchase the Nisemonogatari DVD or Blu-rays to be able to obtain this latest music.  But if you have some spare cash and don’t mind purchasing this completed bundle, you can do so through CDJapan.

On the off-chance that you have not seen the “Platinum Disco” dance, you can check it out here (granted, with a live human performing the dance): [Read more…]

Bakemonogatari Full Soundtrack To Be Released in December

For a lot of us, Bakemonogatari was an anime that was high on the charm and presented with it a lot of excellent music. If you are like us in any way, songs like “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari,” “Staple Stable,” and “Renai Circulation” will live long in our consciousness. The same can be said for Satoru Kousaki’s Bakemonogatari soundtrack, which features his usual atmospheric tones along with minimalistic piano melodies. The problem? None of them have been compiled on a CD… until now.

Finally, Aniplex has gotten their act together and have made a belated release of Bakemonogatari’s soundtrack compiled alongside the opening and ending themes we love so much. The entire package is spread across two discs and will be released on December 21, 2011. Those of you interested in ordering the soundtrack can do so through CDJapan or Play-Asia.
