Kuricorder Quartet’s Tsuritama Anime Soundtrack Surfaces July 25

Tsuritama, the noitaminA anime that somehow managed to take the story of the socially inept Yuki’s encounter with Haru, an alien, and combine it with a fishing trip and a save-the-world scenario, will be getting a soundtrack release that’s set for next week, July 25, 2012.  Those who kept track of the Tsuritama anime’s music might have noticed that the Kuricorder Quartet collaboratively helmed the soundtrack and filled the anime with some light-hearted, whimsical anime music.

The Kuricorder Quartet is made up of members Misaki Kurihara, Kenji Kondo, Takero Sekizima, and Yoshiyuki Kawaguchi and are known to specialize entirely in the recorder.  This group has done music for quite a few notable anime including the soundtracks to Azumanga Daioh as well as the theme song to Allison and Lillia.

With luck, we will be able to review this album in a week or so.  For those who are impatient and are looking to get a pre-order in, you can do so through CDJapan.
