Masumi Ito’s Yume no Naka no Watashi no Yume Release Wraps Up First Week of August’s Anime Music

Those who have seen Summer 2012’s anime offering of Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita will undoubtedly have come across an ending theme that’s set to a blurry, shadowy, dreamlike state.  That song, “Yume no Naka no Watashi no Yume,” has a haunting quality to it delivered through vocalist Masumi Ito.  Longtime anime fans might find her delivery to be similar to the vocals in Azumanga Daioh’s “Raspberry Heaven,” which shouldn’t be too much of a surprise given that Masumi Ito made up a part of the Oranges and Lemons group that performed “Raspberry Heaven.”

In addition to singing this ending theme, Masumi Ito has done a lot of compositions over the years for anime like the Bungaku Shoujo movie and the Chrono Crusade anime under the composer name of Hikaru Nanase.

The release of “Yume no Naka no Watashi no Yume” will be the only Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita music that’ll be out for awhile and it’s set to be released on August 4, 2012 (not too long after the mega-release last Wednesday which included Nana Mizuki’s “Bright Stream”).  The opening theme, “Real world” by nano.RIPE was released just last week and the soundtrack won’t be out for awhile longer.  If you’re looking to get the ending theme single, you can do so through CDJapan.  Those who want to take a peek at the ending sequence for the anime can do so below: [Read more…]

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita’s Oddball Opening Theme Real World by nano.RIPE Released July 25

One of the more oddball anime to come out this season, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita (Humanity has Declined) features a very strange opening title “Real World” by the group nano.RIPE that features hypnotizing dance movements.  The song itself is a bit on the shrill side, but nevertheless has an unmistakably upbeat air that’s energetic. When you look at the energy that’s on display here, the song is very much at odds with the premise of the show itself which is about the slow stagnation and decline of mankind.

This wouldn’t be nano.RIPE’s first anime song release. Nano.RIPE, a group made up of Kimiko on vocals and Sasaki Jun on guitar, debuted with the opening theme to Hanasaku Iroha. From there, they’ve moved on to Sankarea before working on the opening theme “Real World” for Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. You can check out the opening theme in the video located towards the bottom.

For people who do enjoy the song and don’t mind the mismatch between the upbeat energy and the show’s premise, the single will be released on July 25 and can be pre-ordered off of CDJapan. [Read more…]
