LiSA of Angel Beats and Fate/Zero Fame to Debut at Anime Expo 2012

This summer, LiSA, the J-pop artist who performed the Girls Dead Monster segments for Angel Beats will be making her debut in the United States at Anime Expo, which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 29 – July 2, 2012.

LiSA’s debut in anisong came with Angel Beats’ “Thousand Enemies” single where she shows off her generic rock sound while giving us a feel for her ability to sing at lower registers. She would go on to sing the opening theme to Fate/Zero, titled “Oath Sign,” which managed to enter the Japanese Oricon weekly charts at #5, and went on to capture the #2 spot on the daily charts.

No information on the exact day of the concert has been announced yet, but do stay tuned on the Anime Expo website for further news.

Angel Beats Band Score to Be Out on July 28

For those looking to figure out how to play some of the songs featured in the Angel Beats! anime series, the official band score, titled Keep the Beats, will be released on July 28, 2010. The band score will feature the vocal insert songs from the in-anime band, Girls Dead Monster, and will have the instrumental versions of all 13 songs on the official Keep the Beats vocal album in addition to the sheet music to those songs.

The Band Score can be purchased through CDJapan.

Lia & Girls Dead Monster to Sing at Animelo Concert

Although the Animelo Summer Live 2010 concert has quite a list of big names performing during the two days, the list has gotten bigger with the additions of Lia and the Girls Dead Monster singers marina and LiSA set to appear on August 28. Their inclusion means that the Angel Beats! anime will be fully represented at Animelo this year since Lia performed the opening song “My Soul, Your Beats” and LiSA and marina were the singing voices for Yui and Iwasawa respectively for the in-anime band Girls Dead Monster.
